Allesandro Canino

Alessandro Canino (Firenze, 14 settembre 1973) is Italian pop singer.

Initiated into music from an early age thanks to his father who was a piano-bar interpreter in the Florentine hinterland, his beginnings were under the wing of maestro Giancarlo Bigazzi until he was selected for the Sanremo Festival 1992 by the then director artist and presenter Pippo Baudo, who immediately saw potential in him, so much so that in those years he often wanted him as a guest in his broadcasts. On the occasion Canino presented the song Brutta, which ranked sixth in the "News" section and allowed the interpreter to win the Telegatto as a musical revelation of the year, which was delivered to him in Fiesole. In the same year is the first album Alessandro Canino, in which Irene Grandi takes part as a chorister, in his musical debut.

Two other participations then followed in the same Sanremo singing event (this time in the "Big" category) the following year with Tu tu tu tu and in 1994 with Crescerai. He follows the album All those things in 1997. From the same year he starts touring Europe and not only participating in various festivals. These experiences mean that in 1999, 2000 and 2001 he returned to Sanremo not as a singer but as a correspondent for the major state televisions of the Eastern European capitals. At the same time he undertook various activities always linked to the musical world including the opening of a club near Florence, with the aim of showing emerging groups and singers, and the "Brutta srl", a management company. As for active music, he continued to perform in private clubs and venues and in 2010 duets with Tonya Todisco in the single Eco di un addio, written by him and featured in the singer's album of the same name.

In 2011 the single 4-3 was released, the title of which was suggested by Giancarlo Bigazzi.

In January 2012 he participates in the La Spezia Palaexpò in the benefit concert "Gli angeli del fango" for the flood victims of Lunigiana together with other artists.

On June 4, 2013 with the "ROS Group" label of his producer Rossano Eleuteri the album "Io" with twelve unreleased tracks is released. Following his return to the scene on 22 June 2013, the city of Venice awarded him the prestigious award of the "Golden Lion".

On 30 June 2013 at the historic local "La Capannina" in Forte dei Marmi the official presentation of the album "Io" took place with a mini live where nine songs were performed. In August 2013 one of the songs on the album, Batte, is presented in a remixed version for discos.

Later there were various appearances on TV: we mention Uno Mattina, "Sottovoce - Speciale San Remo" conducted by Gigi Marzullo who also wanted it in a special episode focused on his career as "Sette Note". Also significant is the participation in cult programs on Sunday afternoon such as Domenica conducted by Mara Venier, Quelli che il calcio conducted by Nicola Savino, for Mediaset networks, "Next another!" conducted by Paolo Bonolis. Worth noting was the "Emozione" award in the "The sonnet of Italian music" event held on 25 May 2014 at the Aura Theater in Zurich, an event attended by Massimo Di Cataldo and Francesco Facchinetti, among others, testifying to the success that the artist is collecting in Switzerland.

He played in the Italian singers national team.

In 2017 he participated in the talent show The Winner Is with the conduct of Gerry Scotti on Canale 5, reaching the final and taking home a prize of € 35,000.

In 2018 he participated in the television program Ora o mai più on Rai 1 and conducted by Amadeus.

In February 2019 he is a guest at the Romanian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, where he duets with his daughter Guya.
