Gino & Geno

Gino & Geno is a country duo from Brazil that began their career in the 1970s formed by Sebastião Ribeiro de Almeida (Itapecerica, January 27, 1946) and Mauro Avante - Mauro Gonçalves Pereira, and previously by Geraldo Alves dos Santos (Itapecerica, July 5, 1951), whose repertoire includes country music, country music, xotes and samba with humorous lyrics and dancing and lively rhythms. In the past, the duo's greatest success was "As Águas do São Francisco".

They already thought of stopping singing and the duo had a break, and according to them, it was thanks to the singer Rick, from the duo Rick & Renner who proposed to produce the duo, and bring back the duo Gino and Geno who shot on the charts in the year 2000. Currently, Gino and Geno have returned to action, with more success than in the past, even recording two DVDs,the CD and DVD Gino & Geno Ao Vivo em São Bernardo do Campo, released on April 10, 2006, listed among the 20 best sellers in Brazil.

In the 2000s, Gino and Geno restarted with the hits "Ela Chorou de Amor" and "Coração Cigano", which featured the duo Rick & Renner. Other hits are, among others, "Mulher Que Não Dá Voa", "Eu Vou Beber Veneno", "Bebo Pra Carai", "I've Been From You", "Que Bicho Que É", "Acidente de Amor"," Ela Chorou de Amor" and "A Galera do Chapéu", in addition to recording a song in honor of the patron saint of Brazil Nossa Senhora Aparecida.

In 2019, its original formation disbanded with the retirement of Geraldo Alves dos Santos, the former Geno, and was replaced by Mauro Gonçalves Pereira, who assumed the new position in the duo. And he, Mauro Gonçalves Pereira, the new Geno, already made the first New Year's Eve 2020 in the city of Salinas-MG.
